Killead Presbyterian Church

Our Ministries

The Midweek takes place on Wednesday evenings from 8.00pm, meeting in Loanends Minor Hall.

Throughout the year we have a varied programme of Bible studies, biblical character profiles, major themes and big issues to consider, and it is our aim to renew our minds in Christ and to apply the Word of God to our everyday living. In this Autumn/Winter programme we will be taking a look at one of the most fascinating and indeed, one of the most important books in the New Testament – Paul’s letter to the Romans. Based on “The Gift of God” by Timothy Keller, our informal studies will help us understand God’s precious gift of righteousness and how it can transform our hearts, lives, identities and perspectives.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 declares, “Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”

This hour starts of with the opening of God’s Word and we spend some time pondering the great truth that comes from it and then we enter into a time of open and silent prayer.  It is a time when we can meet with our brothers and sisters in the Lord, to share the burdens of our heart and to give God the praise and thanks due to Him.

Gathering together to study God’s Word is a vital part of the life of our church.  Our midweek meetings are joint with our sister congregation of Loanends and take place on Wednesday evenings at 8.OOpm in the Minor Hall at Loanends (except for the second Wednesday of each month). The meetings are very informal with lots of discussion and always end with a short time of prayer together.
